Walk-through
![]()
You are directed to let the boss know if you find anything.
--> talktoboss.php
Type in DELT and he directs you DELToffice.php. A note full of gibberish. Crossing off every other letter in each word (beginning with the 2nd letter in each word) solves this puzzle and gives you the NeoHome address "117288 Rainbow Lane Neopian Central".
![]()
--> Looking up the NeoHome address leads you to chocolatecraz's home, whose lookup holds the next clue. (Neohome here)
If you mouseover the blank image, you get the description for Pineapple Breeze and the price 240,000. Looking this up on Shop Wizard leads you to the shop of stawwy.

Links to the pet NeoImagine's lookup :) Highlighting the entire page reveals a scattered mix of hidden white letters. Arranged in order, this spells out "evilreigns" :D The words "journal.php" are added, noting the location of the next clue.
![]()
Prompts for correct password (evilreigns) and directs to next clue when correct. Filling in the number after "page" in the URL will "flip" the book to that page. On page 1, the source code gives a math problem <!//--6(7+6)--//>, to page 78. On page 78, the source <!//--10^3--//>, directing you to page 1000. On page 1000, the source shows <!//--12/ 1/12--//>, to page 144. On page 144, the source provides <!//--imaginary unit 'i' squared--//> to page -1 (heh). On page -1, the source gives the final number <!//--2300+643--//>, to page 2943. On page 2943, the following is written:

--> In the original story.php page, a link is provided to the Neopian Times, at nptimes.php. Adding the suffix ?date=10-03-Y6 leads you to the next clue.

A short article is written, describing the ten suspects in this case. In the authors name, (by Walt L Denter, Senior Reporter) the letters "ALT L and ENTER" are not italicized like the rest. This indicates that pressing Alt + L + Enter will trigger the access key to the next clue.

The 5th icon on the toolbar (http://images.neopets.com/images/shops/shoptoolbar_2004_02.gif) is the Noticeboard, and the next clue is in the ad costing 8,700 NP.
Will display the Clue Quest logo and show a picture of a Maraquan Acara, with the words "Find me".
--> talktoboss.php - If you say "maraquan acara" to the boss, he will respond and tell you to visit the pet Angelentia.
Owner of Angelentia; this lookup has an image listing the names of many shields. It also directs users that a "codeword" can be obtained from the list, and should be sent to Diffusion. By looking up the shields (on item database, shop wiz, etc.), each shield image contains a letter on it (such as A for Acara Shield). With one letter from each shield, it spells out GOBLACKSIDE.
This word is sent by PM to forum user Diffusion. If GOBLACKSIDE was sent, a return PM will be delivered with the riddle:

--> talktoboss.php - If you mention Earth Spell Book, he directs you to the next clue.
For Internet Explorer users, the script works and the words "Mirror the midline. Start at the bottom left corner. Read up to the line, then down, repeating for each column." are implanted into the clipboard (Ctrl + V) when the page loads.
For Opera and Netscape users, a notice lets them know the script doesn't work, and in place, the clipboard image tells you to check the document text.txt to find the same message: "Mirror the midline. Start at the bottom left corner. Read up to the line, then down, repeating for each column."

Following the directions on the map (North = Forward, West = Left, East = Right, South = Back) in the last clue, and selecting the choices in order, the maze leads you to the next clue. You are stopped at a security door that asks for the correct numerical sequence. A flashing notice tells you to order the numbers 1 to 10 into the matrix. If you click on the Clue Quest logo, the background turns black and you notice that the cursor contains the text: "Arrange #s 1 to 10 by the number of letters in the spelling." The correct order is:
1 2 6 10 (one two six ten - three letters)
4 5 9 (four five nine - four letters) 3 7 8 (three seven eight - five letters)
Zoemer is found (yay!) and provides a note saying, "Lift the crime and reveal the culprit. boss. 4, 6, 13, 14, 16" If you "lift" the image and drag it away, underneath it says "Recover my treasure with 127NE. The location lies in the chips. The negative space will spell using what allows one to read without eyes."
This refers to the "holes" in each clue quest logo 1-16, and when corresponded with Braille dots, spells out in order GRUNDOS WAREHOUSE.
![]() The code to retrieve the item from the warehouse is 127NE.
Zoemer's note, where is says "boss. 4, 6, 13, 14, 16" hints the clues which tell you who the bad guy is.
Immortem - (Clue 13) the guard says it is not the i-squared (such as i times i, or i x i = ixi)
Mifical - (Clue 4) Has no legs, therefore cannot run. Citadyn - (Clue 14) During the maze, the bad guy has left a note talking to Citadyn, therefore he cannot be Citadyn. Zralk - (boss) when randomly talking to the boss, he will mention Zralk has an alibi and is cleared. Aedrix - (Clue 6) on page 16, in the journal, Aedrix is written to have chickened out from the scheme, so cannot be the bad guy. Luxorii - (Clue 16) is female, versus Zoemer's mention of male voice. Klaffin - (Clue 16) is a kyrii, and cannot eat apples (contradicts how culprit was eating apples) Quixir - (Clue 4) has no color, when Neoimagine described seeing a blur of the criminal. Grazyn - (Clue 16) also female. And that leaves... *drumroll* Trebolt as the criminal!
